(OTTAWA) - Elizabeth May, Leader of the Green Party of Canada and Member of Parliament for Saanich – Gulf Islands, will attend the 20th Conference of Parties (COP) as part of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
Since Prime Minister Stephen Harper ended the tradition of inviting Opposition Members of Parliament to join the Canadian delegation for international negotiations, Ms. May has continued to attend these negotiations.
Ms. May will participate during the second week of negotiations, which will begin on December 7 and end on December 14, 2014. She will be available for interviews. Stay tuned to her blog and twitter for updates.
