(OTTAWA) – Elizabeth May, Leader of the Green Party of Canada (MP, Saanich-Gulf Islands), will be in New York for the signing ceremony of the Paris Agreement at the United Nations Headquarters.
The high-level signing ceremony, convened by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, is a first step in implementing the Paris Agreement, which was adopted in Paris, France, on December 12, 2015.
Ms. May will be available for media interviews while in New York, and will speak on behalf of the Global Greens Parliamentarians Association.
