(OTTAWA) - Lorraine Rekmans, Indigenous Affairs Critic for the Green Party of Canada, will attend the Keep the Promise Student Town Hall today at 3:00 p.m. (EST). Ms. Rekmans will address the critical issue of child poverty with Members of Parliament and Senators, as well as listen to presentations from 85 students in Grades 5 - 8.

The Keep the Promise National Student Summit is part of a two-year campaign led by a coalition of organizations and volunteers that are committed to end child poverty in Canada The event brings students from all across Canada, as well as featured guests, including the Honourable James Bartleman, former Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, and representatives from the national board of the Canadian Teacher’s Federation.
